Would you know what to do if a member of your crew collapsed? The one-day RYA First Aid course is designed for small boat users who would like the comfort of a first-aider onboard. It covers all the usual ABC's and Mouth to Mouth procedures that we all need refreshing on every now and again. Typical injuries on a yacht such as head injuries and Hypothermia are also covered.
If you have not taken a course yet, it is even more important that you learn the basics. Even in the Solent it can take up to 30 minutes for the helicopter to get to you.
Could you keep someone alive until help came?
This course is a prerequisite for the Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster exam.
